FLEX / FlexBox Boot Glitch Adapter – MS Group – fast and convenient connection configuration

FLEX / FlexBox Boot Glitch Adapter – MS Group is a professional workshop accessory designed to simplify the electrical connections required during Boot Glitch procedures supported by Magicmotorsport FLEX.
The adapter connects directly to the upper port E of the FlexBox. It reduces the need to repeatedly prepare separate jumpers, cables and external resistors for the supported connection configurations.
The integrated switch allows the user to select one of two pin configurations: A or B. Dedicated contact pads provide a choice of 0 Ω, 3 Ω or 5 Ω resistance. The adapter also features an additional Custom position, allowing the user to solder a resistor of another required value.
Main features
- Direct connection to the upper port E of the FlexBox
- Integrated A/B pin configuration switch
- Selectable 0 Ω, 3 Ω or 5 Ω resistance
- Custom position for an additional user-selected resistor
- Clear configuration and resistance markings
- Compact design suitable for professional workshop use
- Reduces the need to prepare separate jumpers and external resistors

Pin configurations
Position A:
Pins 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 28
Position B:
Pins 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 28
Before starting the procedure, select the correct pin configuration and resistance value according to the instructions displayed in the FLEX software for the selected ECU and protocol.
Resistance selection
The adapter provides four resistance selection positions:
- 0 Ω
- 3 Ω
- 5 Ω
- Custom
The Custom position allows the user to solder an additional resistor. This makes it possible to adapt the unit to a resistance value other than the standard 0 Ω, 3 Ω or 5 Ω options, should another value be required by a specific procedure or a future software update.
Application
Boot Glitch procedures are used for workshop unlocking of selected ECUs supported by Magicmotorsport FLEX. After the procedure has been completed successfully, a compatible ECU may be read and programmed in the operating mode specified by the relevant FLEX protocol.
The exact connection method, required resistance and available operating modes depend on the ECU type, hardware version, processor, FLEX software version, active protocol and available licence.
Compatibility
The adapter is designed for use with:
- Magicmotorsport FLEX
- FlexBox
- The upper port E of the FlexBox
- Boot Glitch procedures supported by FLEX
The list of supported ECUs and connection configurations may change with FLEX software and protocol updates. Before connecting an ECU, always check the latest instructions for the selected control unit and make sure that the adapter pin configuration matches the connection diagram. The programming tool manufacturer may introduce changes with future updates or new protocols.

Frequently asked questions
Does the adapter unlock the ECU by itself?
No. The adapter prepares the required electrical connections. The unlocking procedure is performed by Magicmotorsport FLEX using the appropriate protocol and required licence.
Is the adapter compatible with every Bosch MD1 and MG1 ECU?
At the time the adapter was designed, it covered all Boot Glitch connection configurations available in FLEX. Always check the latest FLEX instructions before use, as connection requirements may change with software updates or new protocols.
Which resistance value should be selected?
The resistance value must be selected according to the instructions displayed in the FLEX software for the specific ECU and protocol. The default value is usually 0 Ω.
What is the Custom position used for?
The Custom position allows the user to solder an additional resistor when a value other than 0 Ω, 3 Ω or 5 Ω is required.
Where is the adapter connected?
The adapter connects directly to the upper port E of the FlexBox.
