We present an original solution in cooperation with XHORSE.
Code emulator for the popular Visteon radio model R013 1DIN installed in Renault Trafic, Opel Vivaro cars.
The emulator will not work with:
- radio with amber display from Renault Master, Opel Movano, Nissan (we are working on a solution for this radio)
- radios described as R013 PHII (PH2-phase 2)
Remember that the radio can be unlocked only for models where it is not possible to enter the code, i.e. the display after connecting the radio says “Radio locked, Please contact dealer”
This board, when mounted to the inside of the radio, will unlock an aftermarket radio.
Below is a short video of how the device works (board mounted in OBD2 as a test, normally the board should be installed inside the radio according to the review photo attached below)
The emulator has the function of automatically learning the unlock code. Therefore, once the emulator is taught to a radio, it will unlock that radio. It is possible to reassemble an already learned emulator to another radio.
To restart the learning mode, press and hold the button for more than 10 seconds on power on until the LED starts flashing rapidly. Then disconnect the power supply and reconnect.
Instructional photo for connecting the emulator:
Description of the operation of the LED:
- LED blinks quickly- emulator is looking for a code.
- LED shines steady- the code is sent to the radio.
- LED blinks slowly- code sent and emulator is in sleep state.
- LED does not light at all-no power supply or defective emulator.
