DynoGPS – Portable 30 Hz GPS/GNSS Road Dynamometer with 12-Month Software Access

DynoGPS – portable GNSS-based road dynamometer

DynoGPS is a portable system developed for measuring and analysing vehicle performance without using a conventional stationary dynamometer. It can generate power and torque graphs, measure acceleration performance and evaluate vehicle losses directly under real-world driving conditions.

The system is particularly useful for ECU tuning specialists, performance workshops and automotive professionals who need to compare results before and after an ECU calibration or mechanical upgrade.

Two components working as one system

A complete DynoGPS system consists of two cooperating elements:

  • Dedicated GNSS receiver – captures raw satellite data at up to 30 Hz and transfers it to the computer through a COM port.
  • DynoGPS software – manages measurement runs, processes recorded data and presents the results as graphs and comparisons. This package includes 12 months of software access.

The receiver gathers vehicle-motion data, while the software converts that information into useful performance results. Both components work together to provide the complete DynoGPS measurement workflow.

Up to 30 Hz GNSS data acquisition

The dedicated DynoGPS receiver can deliver up to 30 measurement points every second. The high update rate provides detailed speed data and helps produce smooth performance graphs.

DynoGPS can work with compatible GNSS devices that transmit raw data through a COM port. Depending on the selected receiver, the supported update rate ranges from 1 Hz to 30 Hz. The dedicated DynoGPS receiver provides the maximum supported performance.

Logger mode for repeated test runs

Logger mode has been designed to make repeated road measurements quick and convenient. Measurement recording can be operated using the SPACE key, reducing the number of actions required during a test.
Basic logging does not require an internet connection. Recorded files can be uploaded to Analyzer later for complete processing and graph generation.

Log&Show mode for immediate results

Log&Show combines data recording and analysis into one streamlined workflow. Once the required test data has been entered and the measurement run completed, the result is processed automatically.

This mode requires an internet connection and is ideal when the operator wants to review the result immediately without manually importing the measurement into Analyzer.

Power and torque analysis

Analyzer presents power and torque curves against engine speed. It allows the user to review maximum values, adjust graph smoothing and inspect performance values at selected points on the chart.

Measurement parameters available in the application include:

  • vehicle mass,
  • vehicle speed at 3,000 rpm,
  • outside temperature,
  • atmospheric pressure,
  • measurement comments.

The results interface also displays information related to DIN 70020 correction.

Acceleration and maximum-speed testing

DynoGPS includes a dedicated acceleration mode covering:

  • 0–60 km/h,
  • 0–100 km/h,
  • 0–150 km/h,
  • 0–200 km/h,
  • 100–200 km/h,
  • maximum speed – V-MAX.

This allows DynoGPS to be used both as a road dynamometer and as a practical performance-testing tool for comparing different vehicle configurations.

Automatic loss measurement

When the software detects the end of the acceleration phase, it automatically begins a 15-second coast-down measurement. The resulting data is used to evaluate rolling resistance and other losses affecting the vehicle during the test.

Automating this stage simplifies the measurement workflow and reduces the amount of manual input required from the operator.

Analyzer – compare and manage measurements

Analyzer provides tools for importing measurement runs, reviewing charts and managing stored results. Available functions include:

  • adding further measurements to an analysis,
  • comparing results by measurement ID,
  • renaming saved results,
  • copying measurement IDs,
  • adjustable graph smoothing,
  • light and dark chart styles,
  • storing and reopening completed results.

This makes it easy to compare a standard vehicle with a tuned version or evaluate several consecutive ECU calibrations.

Branded graph export

DynoGPS – przenośna hamownia drogowa GPS/GNSS 30 Hz + dostęp 12 miesięcy

Completed graphs can be exported as print-ready PNG files for delivery to the customer or inclusion in workshop documentation.

DynoGPS also supports a custom export banner containing elements such as:

  • workshop logo,
  • company name,
  • contact information,
  • address,
  • list of services.

This allows each exported result to become a professional, branded summary of the completed tuning or testing service.
